R/V Lokahi completes 1,000 mile journey upwind! 

After finishing the field season, R/V Lokahi set sail from La Paz, Mexico to Moss Landing, California. In anticipation of the stronger hurricane season of El Niño, the Lokahi team decided to return to California for a season of fundraising and boat repairs. The upwind sail, which took about three weeks to complete, was beautiful and challenging. Between La Paz and San Diego, R/V Lokahi used less than 5 gallons of fuel.
